How UCB handles Duolingo scores
UCB's free Duolingo coupon is for students with an undergraduate or postgraduate offer for September 2026 or February 2027 entry, who have paid their deposit and still have an outstanding English condition. The offer is for a limited time.
For comparison, the same table asks for IELTS 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in each component at all three levels.

If your Duolingo score is below the line
UCB runs its own English Language Test: 55 overall with 50 in each component for foundation degrees, and 60 with 55 for bachelor's and master's. If your IELTS, TOEFL, PTE or SELT result is over 2 years old, UCB asks you to take a new test or sit its English Proficiency Test.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your UCB programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
