What Duolingo score do you need for the University of Alaska Fairbanks?

UAF says admission qualifications for international applicants are the same as for domestic applicants, plus proof of English proficiency and, where a transcript does not show the degree and graduation date, an official diploma.

Duolingo is one of four accepted tests. The page gives no Duolingo validity period or sending instructions, and lists countries whose applicants are exempt from proof of English proficiency.

For comparison, the same international admissions page sets IELTS at 6.5 for both levels.

The page does not describe conditional admission or an English pathway. It does say that requests for exceptions to the English proficiency policy may be submitted by email to the Office of Admissions.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your UAF programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
