What TOEFL score do you need for the University of Cincinnati?

Undergraduate admissions only accepts English scores valid up to two years before the start of your term. You can email your TOEFL score report for online verification or have ETS send it electronically using code 1833.

The graduate office accepts only official scores sent directly by ETS to code 1833; self-reported scores will not complete the application. It accepts in-person and at-home TOEFL scores, but not TOEFL Essentials or MyBest scores. Use the same email address for test registration and your application so the score matches.

For comparison, the first-year page sets IELTS at 6.5 overall with 6.0 in writing and speaking, and the graduate page sets IELTS Academic at 6.5.

UC offers conditional admission to undergraduates who meet the academic requirements but need English training. It is a two-step process: apply to UC for a Conditional Letter of Admission, then apply to ELS, UC's English language partner on the main campus. Conditional letters are limited to certain programmes and terms. Completing ELS Level 112 is one way to meet the English requirement.
