Test rules at UEF
UEF requires scores electronically from ETS: order your score report with institution code 9779 (no department code needed). TOEFL certificates are valid for two years from issue and must be valid during the application period; the programme pages accept tests completed from 7 January 2025 onwards.
On the same programme pages, IELTS Academic needs 6.5 overall with at least 6.0 in each component.

If your TOEFL score falls short
UEF says that if your score is below the programme minimum, the application will not be considered and no exceptions are made. Some prior education, such as the Finnish Matriculation Examination in advanced English with a set grade, removes the need for a test.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your UEF programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
