Test rules and how to send your score
Accepted tests must have been taken within the last five years. The page does not mention PTE Academic Online, PTE Core or a Pearson code. It also lists PTE General at level B2 (C1 for English Studies), which is a different test from PTE Academic.
On the same page, IELTS is 6.0 (7 for English Studies) and TOEFL iBT is 80 for tests up to 21 January 2026 or 4 after that.

If you fall short
Applicants whose previous studies were in English in listed countries (including the UK, US, Canada, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand) need no separate proof. EU, EEA and Swiss applicants have further school-certificate options. Where a bachelor's admission competition uses an English grade, that grade is required even if your previous education was in English.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your University of Latvia programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
