Validity, waivers and the IELTS level
The graduate page says UofL currently accepts TOEFL, IELTS, DET and PTE Academic, that score reports are valid for two years, and that English requirements are not waived because a previous institution taught in English. The page sets no separate DET level for graduate teaching assistants.
On the same pages, IELTS is 6.5 for undergraduates and 6.5 with no sub-score below 5 for graduate study, so the two tests sit at matching levels for both.

If your Duolingo score is short
The pages read describe no DET pathway or conditional range. Undergraduates can instead meet the requirement through two consecutive years of full-time study in English with a C or better in English, shown on official transcripts.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your UofL programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
