What IELTS score do you need for University of Maryland Eastern Shore?

UMES treats as native speakers those educated entirely in the United States, United Kingdom, English-speaking Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and the Commonwealth Caribbean.

Exceptions may be made for non-native speakers who completed a full-time degree or diploma in an English-speaking country taught in English. The requirement is waived for international students with a UMES bachelor's degree or seniors who will have completed four years of US undergraduate study.

TOEFL is UMES's preferred graduate test, and the TOEFL institution code is 5400. Courses taken to improve English do not count for degree credit, and applicants found deficient in English improve it at their own expense.
