Navarra's entrance criteria page says each school sets the level for its bilingual degrees. Figures from the Economics and Business English requirements, the School of Law English requirements 2027-28, the International Program in Medicine and the Master's in Political and Corporate Communication.
| Programme | IELTS | Other tests |
|---|---|---|
| Economics and Business, bilingual degrees | 7.0 | TOEFL 80, Cambridge Advanced 180, Linguaskill C1 |
| International Relations and dual degrees | 5.5 | TOEFL 77, Cambridge First 170, Linguaskill B2 |
| International Relations + Diplomas | 7.0 | TOEFL 95, Cambridge Advanced, Linguaskill C1 |
| Medicine, International Program | 7 | TOEFL iBT 95, Cambridge CAE 180 |
| Master's in Political and Corporate Communication | 6.0 | TOEFL iBT 80–120, CAE |
IB, school letters and Spanish
For the Economics bilingual degrees, IB English Language A at 5 or Language B at 6 also counts, as does a letter from an English-speaking school certifying at least 80% of courses were taught in English. Medicine accepts IB Language A at 6 or Language B at 7, and says "No exceptions will be considered".
Law degrees also need DELE B2 Spanish for students not educated in Spanish, and the Political and Corporate Communication master's asks international students for Spanish at B2.

Deadlines and what happens if you miss them
The Economics and Law documents set 31 May 2027 to submit your English certificate. In Economics, a candidate who misses the deadline is moved to the Spanish-taught degree. Medicine needs the certificate when you apply.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your University of Navarra programme page and in your offer, so check it there before you book a test.
Minimum vs competitive score
Where the University of Navarra publishes an IELTS score, it is the minimum: the floor an application has to meet to be considered, not a score that guarantees an offer.
Competitive programmes, and courses with far more applicants than places, may expect more than the minimum, and some departments set their own overall or per-skill scores, often for writing or speaking. The course page has the final word, so check it before you book a test.
If you are close to the line, aim for a margin above it: one weak skill can miss the requirement even when the overall band clears it. Not sure where you stand? Take a free IELTS mock test and get a band for each skill.
