What IELTS score do you need for IE University?

For bachelor's programmes, applicants who completed high school in English-speaking countries or at international schools may be exempt, pending approval. The policy adds that non-native speakers need a certificate unless they have lived in an English-speaking country for more than two years, or studied in an English-speaking system (such as American High School, IB in English or A-levels) for their entire education or at least the last two years of high school.

For master's programmes, the policy exempts applicants who have lived and worked for two or more years in a fully English-speaking environment, pending committee approval. The policy applies the requirement to applicants whose first language is not English or whose complete bachelor's education was not in English.

Programme pages can add routes. The Master in Management + Master in Finance dual degree waives the certificate for native speakers, applicants with an English-taught undergraduate degree, those who have lived and worked over two years in an English-speaking country, and those with extensive professional experience in English, though the committee may still ask for one.

The dual-degree page says certificates are valid for IE's admissions process for two years from the date you took the exam. IE's undergraduate policy says admission can be conditional, with the conditions set out in your admission letter.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your IE University programme page and in your offer, so check it there before you book a test.
