What PTE score do you need for the University of Oulu?

Both pages accept "PTE Academic or PTE Academic Online". PTE scores are valid for up to two years from the exam date, and the master's page adds that the result must be valid for at least one day during the application period. Send your score to the University of Oulu through your PTE account. Only scanned copies of final results count; preliminary results and screenshots are not accepted. PTE Core is not mentioned.

On the same pages, IELTS is 6.0 with 5.5 in each section for autumn 2027 bachelor's and 6.5 with 6.0 in each for master's. IELTS One Skill Retake is accepted.

Pearson has discontinued PTE Academic Online for new bookings, so plan on a test-centre PTE Academic sitting even where this page still lists the online version. See can you take PTE at home.

Besides a test, Oulu lists upper secondary qualifications, previous education in English and higher education studies as ways to prove English. Its test list also includes the Finnish YKI test in English (level 4 in every skill for bachelor's, level 5 for master's), which the master's page says is available only in Finland. Neither page describes conditional admission.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Oulu programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
