Passau TOEFL test rules
Passau accepts the TOEFL iBT, including the TOEFL@home edition, and lists TOEFL ITP. Certificates older than two years at the time of application are not accepted, and Duolingo and DAAD language certificates are not accepted. You upload proof to the Campus Portal or uni-assist. No institution code or MyBest rule is given.

If your TOEFL score is below Passau's level
The page also accepts a first degree taught entirely in English, a German Abitur or Austrian Matura that states B2 or higher, Passau Language Centre courses (FFA advanced level for B2, main level 1 for C1), and in some cases a study abroad semester in English, assessed case by case by the Student Registration Office.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Passau programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
