Exemptions, including an English-taught degree
You are exempt if you completed secondary school in English in the US, UK, Ireland, Malta, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Singapore or South Africa, hold an IB Diploma, or hold (I)GCSEs plus A-levels from Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel or OxfordAQA. A bachelor's, master's or PhD taught in English also exempts you, except for the MA programmes of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, so an English-medium Indian or Nigerian degree can cover most master's.
The C1 programmes are the MAs in American Studies, English Studies and the Instruction of English as a Foreign Language, and the PhD in British, Irish and American literatures; for those, a medium-of-instruction statement is usually not accepted, and IELTS Indicator from 7.0 is allowed.
