Salford TOEFL test rules
Salford accepts TOEFL and TOEFL iBT but not the TOEFL Home Edition. It says English requirements appear on each course page, usually as an IELTS grade, and some courses ask for more. Postgraduate research courses need IELTS 6.5 with 6.0 in each component, or 7.0 with 6.5 at Salford Business School.
For comparison, the same page sets IELTS Academic at 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component for undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses.

If your TOEFL score is below Salford's level
Salford's full-time Pre-sessional English course is for international students with a UKVI IELTS level of 4.0 or above. The University of Salford International Foundation Year leads to more than 80 undergraduate degrees.
