What TOEFL score do you need for the University of South Carolina?

Graduate scores must come directly from the testing service, copies are not official, and language scores are valid for two years. The Graduate School's TOEFL code is 5818. Departments can ask for English test scores from any applicant, whatever their country.

For comparison, the undergraduate page and the graduate page both set IELTS at 6.5.

Undergraduates who cannot meet the minimum can indicate interest in English Programs for Internationals and conditional admission on the application, and must contact the programme directly to submit its application. USC also points to its International Accelerator Program, a one-year transition programme leading to a four-year degree. The Graduate School exempts applicants only by citizenship or a degree from a country where English is an official language, not by language of instruction alone.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your South Carolina programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
