What PTE score do you need for the University of Stavanger?

UiS accepts PTE Academic Online. Results must be no more than two years old at the time of application. Upload the result as a PDF in Søknadsweb, or upload a PDF confirming your test registration by 1 December 2026 (non-EU/EEA) or 1 March 2027 (EU/EEA and Swiss). If you uploaded a registration, email the final result with your application number to admissions@uis.no by 15 December 2026 or 1 May 2027. No Pearson code is given, and PTE Core is not mentioned.

On the same page, IELTS Academic is 6.5 with writing 6.0, and UiS does not accept IELTS Online or One Skill Retake. PTE is therefore the online-friendly option here, along with TOEFL iBT only at a test centre.

You may be exempt with at least a year of school or university studies in English in Australia, Canada, Ireland, the UK, the USA or New Zealand, a completed English-taught bachelor's from the Philippines, or secondary school in a listed country, which includes Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, Hong Kong and Singapore. The Faculty of Performing Arts has different deadlines.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Stavanger programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.

Pearson has discontinued PTE Academic Online for new bookings, so plan on a test-centre PTE Academic sitting even where this page still lists the online version. See can you take PTE at home.
