What PTE score do you need for the University of Tartu?

The page accepts PTE Academic and PTE Academic Online. Tests must have been taken no more than two years before applying, and must be valid at least one month after you submit the application. The score must be sent to the university electronically through the Pearson portal. PTE Core is not mentioned. Final results must reach Tartu by 15 April for bachelor's and 15 March for master's programmes.

On the same page, IELTS Academic is 6.0 with no part below 5.5, and IELTS Online is accepted too. TOEFL iBT is 75, or 4 on the new scale.

Tartu waives the test if you completed secondary education in English in the EU/EEA, Switzerland, the UK, the USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand, or studied full time in English for at least a year at a university in one of those countries; online or offshore study does not count. Applicants already in Estonia can take the university's own English test at B2, once per academic year.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Tartu programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.

Pearson has discontinued PTE Academic Online for new bookings, so plan on a test-centre PTE Academic sitting even where this page still lists the online version. See can you take PTE at home.
