PTE rules at UTS

UTS recognises test scores obtained less than two years before you apply, and for listed courses less than two years before commencement. Scores from two different tests cannot be combined. For nursing, midwifery and similar listed courses, two sittings of the same test in 12 months can be used if each sitting meets the overall score and no skill falls below the stated floor.

The page labels the PTE row 'PTE (academic)' and does not mention PTE Academic Online or PTE Core. In the same tables, PTE 58 (writing 50) sits beside IELTS 6.5 with 6.0 in writing.

If your PTE falls short

The UTS tables list UTS College Academic English Level 5 (AE5) as an accepted alternative for most courses. UTS College's own pathway entry scores are covered in the UTS College guide.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your UTS programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
