Test rules and how to send your score

The graduate page says test scores must be no more than two years old at the time of application. Both pages ask for supporting documents by email to UWL International Admissions. Neither mentions PTE Academic Online, PTE Core or a Pearson institution code; UWL's code 1914 is for TOEFL.

On the same pages, IELTS is 6.0 for undergraduates and non-health graduate programmes, and 7.5 for health professions. Health professions include Athletic Training, Nurse Anesthesia, Physical Therapy, Medical Dosimetry, Occupational Therapy and Physician Assistant Studies.

If you fall short

Undergraduates can meet the requirement by completing level 700 at the Wisconsin English as a Second Language Institute (WESLI). For graduate study, a bachelor's or higher degree from an approved English-only institution, earned within two years of enrolment after at least two years' attendance, may satisfy the requirement.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your UWL programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
