Test rules and how to send your score
Both admissions pages say all test scores are valid for two years from the test date and give 5570 as VCU's testing code. Neither mentions PTE Academic Online or PTE Core. The graduate bulletin repeats PTE 65 and the two-year validity.
On the same pages, IELTS 6.0 sits alongside PTE 53 for undergraduates and IELTS 6.5 alongside PTE 65 for graduates, so the graduate PTE bar is relatively high.

If you fall short
Both pages accept successful completion of VCU's English Language Program as an alternative to a test, and the graduate table lists a minimum English Language Program score of 68. The bulletin says the Office of Admissions can require further testing and study in the English Language Program before full-time enrolment.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your VCU programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
