What TOEFL score do you need for VCU?

VCU's TOEFL testing code is 5570 for both levels, and all test scores are valid for two years from the test date. The Graduate Bulletin says the Office of Admissions can require extra testing and study in the VCU English Language Program before full-time enrolment.

For comparison, the undergraduate page sets IELTS at 6.0, and the graduate page sets it at 6.5.

The graduate page lists programmes willing to review applications without test scores for potential conditional admission: engineering (all except biomedical engineering), forensic science, history, interior design (M.F.A. only) and mathematical sciences with operations research or statistics concentrations (M.S. only). The review does not guarantee conditional admission, and other programmes need scores with the application. The bulletin also mentions VCU's full-time noncredit English Language Program.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your VCU programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
