What TOEFL score do you need for VinUniversity?

The policy accepts test results taken within the last 24 months before the first day of instruction of the admitted programme. Results from multiple tests cannot be combined unless stated, and the most recent evidence you submit is the one used. It adds that online tests are usually not considered valid evidence, though it names IELTS and Duolingo online tests rather than TOEFL. The policy does not mention MyBest scores.

TOEFL iBT score reports issued since January 2026 also carry a 1 to 6 band score alongside the 0 to 120 total; see our guide to the new TOEFL score scale. The page above gives only 0 to 120 figures, so that is what this guide reports.

In the same policy, the IELTS Academic minimum is 6.5 with no band below 6.0.

The policy lists a VinUniversity English Placement Test result of meets direct entry English requirements, offered only in exceptional circumstances such as international students with no other option. It also says the university can make an offer conditional on English if later evidence shows your English is insufficient.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your VinUniversity programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
