What PTE score do you need for VU Amsterdam?

The master's page says Pearson PTE Core, PTE Home and PTE Express are not accepted. PTE tests must have been taken no more than two years before 1 September of the year your course starts, or 1 February for a February intake. To verify a PTE score, share it through your myPTE account by selecting "Send Scores" and choosing VU Amsterdam, and upload the result to your VU Dashboard as well.

On the same pages, IELTS Academic is 6.5 for bachelor's, with 6.0 per component for PPE and 7.0 in reading for Law in Society. Master's programmes at PTE 76 ask IELTS 7.0; those at 65 or 68 ask IELTS 6.5. For PPE and Law in Society the PTE figure stays at 68 overall.

Master's applicants can start the application before meeting the English requirement. VU also runs its own on-campus test and a VU TOEFL ITP (580 for most programmes), with limits on who can use it; the Schools of Humanities and Theology do not accept the ITP for master's. Pre-master's programmes carry the same English requirement as the matching master's.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your VU Amsterdam programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
