VMU Duolingo minimums
From VMU's degree studies admission page.
| Level or programme | Duolingo minimum | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Bachelor's and master's (B2) | 100-125 | The range the page gives for B2 |
| Bachelor's in Accounting and Finance | Not stated | First year taught in Ukrainian or Russian; A2 English proof required |
| Master's in Sociolinguistics and Multilingualism | Not accepted | Only TOEFL or IELTS for applicants from non-partner universities |
How VMU handles Duolingo scores
The page asks for a recent and valid document and says results are usually valid for 2 years, so check the validity period. Applicants whose previous studies were taught in English can submit an official document from their school or university instead.
Certificates that do not meet the requirements are disregarded and the application is suspended. Students who start at B2 are expected to reach academic English at C1 during their studies.
For comparison, the same page gives IELTS 5.5-6.5 where it gives Duolingo 100-125.

If you fall short
VMU does not run its own English test, and the page names no pathway for a lower score.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your VMU programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
