How Western New England handles Duolingo scores
English proficiency scores are valid for three years from the date of the exam, which is longer than many US universities allow.
Graduate applicants from Ghana and Nigeria who graduated within the last three years can submit a medium of instruction letter instead of a test.
For comparison, the same page sets IELTS at 6 for undergraduates, 6.0 for the 100-level graduate programmes and 6.5 for the 105-level programmes.

If your Duolingo score is below WNE's level
WNE lists English schools whose completion levels meet the requirement, such as ELS Level 112, New England School of English Level 10 with a 2.7 GPA and Kaplan International Advanced Level. One semester at a US university with a C or better in a 100-level English course also qualifies.
