What IELTS score do you need for Western Sydney University International College?

You do not need a test if you were born in a listed country such as Australia, Canada, Ghana, Kenya, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, the UK or the USA and hold at least one qualification from one of those countries taken in English. If you were not born there, senior secondary study or at least one year of full-time university study in a listed country, in English, also counts. Being born in a listed country alone is not enough.

The flyer also lists Cambridge, GCE, HKDSE, IB, OET, The College's EAP 3 to 5 courses and its English Placement Test (60% for Foundation and business, 70% for arts, engineering and ICT). Duolingo is not listed.

Evidence of English is valid for two years from the test date or the date you completed studies, and if you submit two pieces of evidence the most recent is used. Student visa applicants must also meet the Department of Home Affairs English criteria. If you fall short, the College offers intensive English courses.

Requirements vary by course and can change between intakes. The score that binds you is the one on your Western Sydney University International College course page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
