Accepted tests and validity
Western Sydney accepts IELTS Academic (including IELTS One Skill Retake), TOEFL iBT and PTE Academic. PTE Online, IELTS Online, TOEFL iBT Home Edition and OET@Home are not assessed. Duolingo, Cambridge and LanguageCert are not mentioned on the page.
English test results must be no more than two years old when you start at Western Sydney University.

The College diplomas need IELTS 6.0 (5.5 in each subtest), PTE 50 (no skill below 42) or TOEFL 70. University Foundation Studies and Diploma Extended need IELTS 5.5 (5.0 each), PTE 42 or TOEFL 59. The College also runs English programs and testing for students who need to lift their score.
