Hollowmere Family Campsite: Site Map and Information
Skip to the questions ↓Welcome to Hollowmere
Hollowmere is a quiet, family-run campsite on the edge of the Fellmoor hills, open from the beginning of April until the end of October. Please take a few minutes to read this sheet, which shows how the site is laid out and explains the rules that help everyone enjoy their stay.
Arriving
All vehicles come in through the main gate on the south side of the site. Reception is straight ahead of you, and you must check in there before you set up. To the west of Reception is the site shop, which sells milk, bread, gas bottles and firewood from 8 am to 6 pm. The Car Park is to the east of Reception. Once you have unloaded, cars must be left in the Car Park rather than beside your tent, so that children can play safely.
The southern half
Directly north of the site shop is the Tent Field, which is kept for small tents only. Beside it, in the centre of the site, is the campfire circle, where a fire is lit every Saturday evening and families can toast marshmallows. Fires are not allowed anywhere else on the site. The recycling point is to the east of the campfire circle, on the eastern edge of the site; please sort your rubbish into the coloured bins.
The northern half
North of the Tent Field, on the western edge of the site, is the toilet block, which has hot showers, baby-changing facilities and an accessible shower room. The Touring Pitches for caravans and motorhomes take up the middle of the site beside the toilet block, and every one has an electric hook-up. On the eastern side of the Touring Pitches is the Washing-up Area, with deep sinks and free hot water.
The far end
The Woodland Pitches are in the north-west corner, sheltered by tall pine trees. The Fishing Lake stretches along the north-east side of the site, and day tickets for fishing can be bought at Reception. Between the Woodland Pitches and the lake is the play area, which has swings and a climbing frame for children under twelve.
Site rules
Quiet time begins at 10.30 pm, and the main gate is locked between 11 pm and 7 am. Guests may bring dogs, provided they stay on a short lead throughout their visit and are not allowed near the Fishing Lake. Children must not swim in the lake.
