Ravensby Self Storage Customer Information

Choosing a unit

We have storage units in five sizes, from a small locker the size of a wardrobe to a large room that can hold the contents of a three-bedroom house. Not sure which size you need? Our staff can visit your home free of charge and give you advice. You can move to a bigger or smaller unit at any time if one is available. Every unit is clean and dry and kept at a steady temperature.

Prices and payment

Prices start at £8 a week for the smallest locker. You pay four weeks in advance, and there is no minimum period, so you can leave whenever you like. Customers who pay for six months at once receive two weeks free. Payments can be made by direct debit or card, but we do not accept cash. A deposit equal to one week's rent is returned to you when you leave.

Access and security

Customers can reach their units between 6 am and 10 pm every day using a personal entry code. The building has cameras both inside and outside, and a member of staff is on site during office hours. You hold the only key to your unit, so we cannot open it for you. If you forget your entry code, staff can give you a new one during office hours after checking your identity.

What you cannot store

For safety reasons, the following must not be kept in a unit: food, plants, paint, gas bottles and anything that could catch fire easily. Units must not be used as an office or workshop, and nobody is allowed to stay in a unit overnight. If you are not sure whether something is allowed, please ask at reception before you bring it in.

Moving in

Trolleys are available free of charge near the loading area, where vans can park for up to thirty minutes. We also sell boxes, tape and bubble wrap at reception. If you do not have a vehicle, we can recommend a local removal company. Every customer must have insurance for the items they store; you can use your own home insurance or buy cover from us.
