Taxi Firms in Fernleigh Cross
Skip to the questions ↓Fernleigh Cars
Fernleigh Cars has been the town's main taxi firm for twenty years. Our drivers work twenty-four hours a day, every day of the year, and all of them have at least five years' experience. You can book by phone or through our app, which also shows you where your car is. All our cars take card payments. A minimum fare of £4 applies, and fares between midnight and 6 am are one and a half times the normal price.
Green Line Taxis
All Green Line vehicles are electric, so you can travel without adding to the town's air pollution. We operate from 6 am until midnight, seven days a week. Bookings must be made by phone at least one hour before you travel. Child seats are available if you ask when booking. We take cash only, but there is no extra charge for luggage, however much you bring.
Station Cabs
Station Cabs wait outside Fernleigh Cross railway station from the first train to the last, so there is no need to book. We also have two large vehicles which can carry up to eight passengers, ideal for groups or families with lots of bags. Our drivers accept both cash and cards. There is a covered waiting area for passengers in bad weather.
Airport Express Fernleigh
We specialise in journeys to and from the three nearest airports. The price is fixed when you book, so you will not pay more if there is heavy traffic. If your flight is delayed, your driver will wait for you at no extra cost. Journeys must be booked at least forty-eight hours in advance, and payment is made by bank transfer at the time of booking.
Ability Transport
Ability Transport's minibuses have ramps and space for wheelchairs, and our drivers are trained to help passengers who have difficulty walking. We provide regular transport to hospitals, day centres and shops. A journey of up to five miles costs £8, which you pay to the driver in cash, and carers travel free. We are open Monday to Saturday, from 8 am to 6 pm.
