1

Do you usually carry a backpack?

Yes, pretty much every day. I find it really convenient because it distributes the weight across my shoulders, which makes my daily commute on the underground a lot easier. I usually take a lightweight canvas one with me to the office.

2

What kind of bag did you use when you were at school?

As far as I remember, I always had a sturdy, bright blue rucksack. It was packed with heavy textbooks, exercise books, and my pencil case. My parents insisted on getting a durable one with padded straps so that it wouldn't hurt my back.

3

What do you normally keep inside your backpack?

Well, apart from the essentials like my keys, wallet, and mobile phone, I almost always have my laptop and charger with me. If the weather looks a bit miserable, I'll also throw in a compact umbrella and a reusable water bottle.

4

Do you prefer using a backpack or a shoulder bag?

Definitely a backpack. Shoulder bags can look quite stylish, but carrying heavy items on one side tends to give me a sore neck after an hour or two. A backpack keeps my hands free, which is brilliant when I'm cycling or doing a spot of shopping.

5

Have the types of bags you use changed over the years?

I'd say so, yes. When I was younger, I mostly cared about the colour and design rather than practicality. Nowadays, I tend to prioritise functionality, so I look for things like water-resistant fabric and extra compartments to keep my belongings organised.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
