1

Do you have many certificates?

Not a massive amount, to be honest. I’ve got a couple from university and my driving licence, but I tend to keep them tucked away in a folder in my wardrobe rather than having them on display. Most of my day-to-day achievements aren't really the sort of things you get certificates for.

2

Did you receive any certificates when you were at school?

Yes, a fair few, actually. Back in primary school, we used to get them for things like perfect attendance or winning a race on sports day. I remember being chuffed to bits when I got one for a swimming badge when I was about eight years old.

3

Do you prefer paper certificates or digital ones?

I definitely lean towards physical paper ones. There’s something quite rewarding about actually holding a tangible document with a proper embossed seal or signature. Digital ones are handy for sending to employers via email, I suppose, but they just don't feel as special.

4

How do you feel when you receive a certificate?

It gives you a real sense of accomplishment, doesn't it? Especially if you’ve had to put in months of hard graft, like studying for a professional qualification. It validates all that effort and makes you feel like the hard work was genuinely worthwhile.

5

Would you like to earn any new certificates in the future?

Absolutely. I’d love to get an advanced certificate in project management at some point next year. It’d give my CV a noticeable boost and hopefully open up a few more career opportunities in the long run.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
