1

Do you often watch comedy shows on television?

Yes, fairly often. I usually put on a sitcom in the evenings after a stressful day at work just to unwind. My flatmate and I tend to binge-watch a couple of episodes before dinner, and it really helps take my mind off things.

2

What kind of comedy do you find funniest?

I'm a big fan of dry humour and satire, to be honest. I enjoy shows where the jokes are quite subtle and witty rather than over-the-top slapstick. There's a brilliant political satire series I've been following lately that always makes me chuckle.

3

Do you prefer watching comedy alone or with other people?

Definitely with other people. Laughter is contagious, so I find things much funnier when I'm sharing the moment with friends or family. We often have weekend film nights in the living room, and hearing everyone else giggle just makes the whole experience better.

4

Did you enjoy funny programmes when you were a child?

Oh, absolutely. I used to be obsessed with animated cartoons on Saturday mornings. They were full of silly physical comedy and absurd sound effects, and my younger brother and I would sit glued to the telly for hours on end.

5

Would you ever consider going to a live comedy gig?

I'd love to, actually. I've never been to a proper stand-up night, but a friend recently went to a local theatre in town and said the atmosphere was electric. I reckon it'd be brilliant to see someone improvise on stage right in front of you.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
