1

Do you often use a credit card?

Yes, pretty much every day, actually. I tend to tap it for almost everything, from my morning coffee to the weekly grocery shopping, mainly because it's so convenient and means I don't have to carry bulky coins around.

2

When did you get your first credit card?

I got mine when I was about twenty, during my second year at university. My bank offered me a student card with a fairly low spending limit, which was great for emergencies when I ran short of money before term ended.

3

Do you prefer paying by credit card or with cash?

I definitely lean towards card payments. It's just far quicker at the checkout, and I find it much easier to track my monthly outgoings through my online banking statement rather than holding on to paper receipts.

4

Have you ever bought something expensive with a credit card?

Yes, I have. Last summer, I used my card to book return flights and a hotel for a holiday to Spain. It gave me extra purchase protection, which made me feel a lot more secure about spending that much.

5

Do you think you will use credit cards more often in the future?

I suppose so, especially as more small shops and market stalls are going completely cashless these days. I'll probably rely on cards or my mobile phone wallet for virtually all my day-to-day spending.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
