1

Do you ever wear high heels?

Not really, to be honest. I prioritise comfort, so I usually stick to flat shoes or trainers. The only time I've ever put on a pair was for a cousin's wedding a couple of years ago, and my feet were killing me by the end of the evening.

2

Why do you think some people prefer wearing them?

I suppose it's mainly about confidence and posture. They definitely make an outfit look a bit more elegant and formal, which is great for special events. My sister loves them because she feels taller and more put-together whenever she goes to a smart dinner party.

3

Have you ever bought a pair of high-heeled shoes?

Yes, I actually bought a pair of classic black pumps for a university graduation ceremony. I spent quite a bit of money on them hoping they'd be comfortable, but I barely wore them again after that day. They're still sitting in my wardrobe somewhere.

4

Do you think high heels are suitable for everyday wear?

Personally, I don't think so. Running errands or commuting on public transport in high heels sounds exhausting, not to mention the potential back and ankle pain. Flats or supportive walking shoes make far more sense for getting around on a day-to-day basis.

5

Are high heels popular among people where you live?

They're quite popular for nights out and celebrations, especially at weekend venues in the city centre. However, in the daytime, most people opt for casual footwear like loafers or white trainers because our streets have lots of uneven cobblestones, which are terrible for thin heels.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
