1

Do you often see insects where you live?

Quite a lot, actually, especially during the summer months. I live near a large public park, so we get quite a few bees, ladybirds, and occasionally ants crawling onto our balcony. It is totally normal in my neighbourhood once the weather warms up.

2

How do you feel about insects?

To be honest, I am a bit indifferent towards most of them. I understand they play a crucial role in pollination and the ecosystem, so I try not to disturb them. Having said that, I do find buzzing flies slightly irritating when I am trying to relax indoors.

3

What is your favourite insect?

I would probably say butterflies. I find their wing patterns absolutely stunning, and they are completely harmless. Just last weekend, I spotted a bright peacock butterfly resting on a lavender bush in my garden, and it was lovely to watch.

4

Did you learn about insects when you were a child?

Yes, we definitely did in primary school science lessons. I vividly remember catching caterpillars with our teacher and keeping them in ventilated jars until they turned into butterflies. It was a fascinating way to learn about life cycles firsthand.

5

Are there any insects that you really dislike?

Oh, definitely mosquitoes. They really make my skin crawl because their bites itch for days. Whenever I go camping near a lake, I have to lather myself in insect repellent just to avoid getting covered in red bumps.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
