1

Do you ever wear lipstick?

Yes, quite regularly, though mainly when I'm heading out for dinner or attending a special event. On ordinary workdays, I usually just stick to a tinted lip balm because it feels lighter and doesn't need constant reapplying throughout the day.

2

What colours of lipstick do you prefer?

I tend to go for muted, subtle shades like dusty rose or soft nude tones. I find that bolder colours, like bright red, can be a bit overwhelming on me, so I only really wear them on rare occasions like a friend's wedding.

3

Did you ever try using lipstick when you were a child?

Oh, definitely. I remember sneaking into my mother's bedroom and rummaging through her makeup bag. I ended up smudging a bright coral shade all over my mouth and cheeks, which made my parents laugh, though she wasn't thrilled about the mess!

4

Have you ever bought lipstick as a present for someone?

Yes, I have. Last year, I bought a classic plum shade for my sister's birthday. It can be quite tricky picking out cosmetics for someone else because of skin tones, but luckily she had already dropped a hint about that specific colour.

5

Do you think people wear lipstick for different reasons now compared to the past?

I think so, yes. In the past, it was mostly about adhering to traditional beauty standards or looking polished. Nowadays, I suppose people see it more as a form of self-expression, and there is far more variety in who actually chooses to wear it.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
