1

Do you have a favourite mug that you like to use?

Yes, definitely. I've got this oversized ceramic mug with a quirky pattern of cats on it, which a close friend gave me. It holds plenty of tea, so it’s always my first choice in the morning when I need to wake myself up properly.

2

What kind of drinks do you usually have in a mug?

Mainly hot drinks, to be honest. I usually brew freshly ground coffee before work, and occasionally in the evenings, I’ll make herbal tea or hot chocolate. I wouldn't really drink cold beverages like fruit juice or water from a mug, though.

3

Have you ever received a mug as a gift?

Yes, quite a few times actually. Last year, my colleagues got me a personalised mug for my birthday with an inside joke printed on the side. It was a lovely gesture, and I keep it on my desk at work every day.

4

Do you prefer ceramic mugs or travel mugs?

I suppose it depends on where I am. If I'm relaxing at home, I definitely prefer standard ceramic mugs because they just feel nicer to hold. But when I'm commuting to work on the train, an insulated travel mug is a lifesaver to prevent spills.

5

Would you buy a mug as a souvenir when travelling?

I think so, yes. In fact, on a holiday to Edinburgh a couple of years ago, I bought a lovely handmade mug from a local pottery market. It’s practical, doesn't take up too much room, and brings back fond memories whenever I use it.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
