1

Do you often use paperclips?

Not very often these days, to be honest. Most of my work is digital, so I rarely deal with physical paperwork. But I do keep a small box of them in my desk drawer just in case I need to organise some utility bills or bank statements.

2

What do you usually use paperclips for?

Well, mostly just for grouping receipts and printed forms that belong together. I prefer using them over staples because they don't tear the paper when you take them off. It just keeps my study area a bit tidier.

3

Have you ever used a paperclip for something other than holding papers?

Yes, actually! I've used one to pop open the SIM card tray on my mobile phone when I couldn't find the proper tool. It's surprisingly handy for resetting small electronic gadgets or even as a makeshift bookmark.

4

Did you use paperclips much when you were at school?

I did, yeah. When I was in secondary school, our teachers always handed out worksheets that we had to fasten together. I remember fiddling with them during boring lessons, bending the wire into little shapes instead of listening.

5

Do you think people will still use paperclips in the future?

I suppose so, though definitely less than before. Even as offices go completely paperless, there will always be official documents or certificates that need temporary sorting. Plus, they're so cheap and versatile that they'll probably stick around.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
