Puzzle: questions and Band 8 answers

Did you do puzzles in your childhood?
Actually, I was quite obsessed with jigsaw puzzles when I was a kid. My parents used to buy me these massive thousand-piece sets of landscapes, and I would spend entire rainy afternoons meticulously fitting the pieces together on our living room floor.
Do you like doing word puzzles or number puzzles? Which is more difficult for you?
I definitely prefer word puzzles like crosswords because they feel more engaging to me. Number puzzles, particularly Sudoku, are far more challenging; I often struggle to keep track of the digits and find the logic required quite exhausting compared to vocabulary-based games.
When do you do puzzles, during your trip or when you feel bored?
I tend to turn to them mainly when I have some downtime, such as when I am commuting on the train or waiting for an appointment. Using puzzles to fill those pockets of boredom helps me stay mentally sharp rather than just scrolling aimlessly on my phone.
Do you think it is good for old people to do puzzles?
I believe they are incredibly beneficial for the elderly. Engaging in cognitive tasks like crosswords or logic problems is a fantastic way to keep the brain stimulated, which can significantly improve memory retention and overall mental agility as someone gets older.
