1

How often do you go to a supermarket?

I'd say I pop in about twice a week. I usually do a big weekly shop on Saturday mornings to stock up on essentials, and then maybe grab a few fresh ingredients mid-week if I run out of milk or bread. It keeps my fridge reasonably well-stocked without wasting food.

2

What do you usually buy when you visit one?

Mostly everyday pantry staples and household goods. I tend to pick up things like pasta, tinned tomatoes, and toiletries in bulk because it is cheaper. I also like browsing the bakery section for fresh sourdough loaves, though I try not to get tempted by too many sweet treats.

3

Do you prefer large supermarkets or small local shops?

It really depends on what I need, to be honest. If I'm pressed for time, a massive supermarket is ideal because everything is under one roof. But on quiet weekends, I much prefer visiting independent greengrocers near my flat, simply because the produce tends to be fresher.

4

Did you ever go grocery shopping with your family as a child?

Yes, all the time. My mum used to take me along every Sunday afternoon. My main job was pushing the trolley and ticking items off her handwritten list. I secretly loved it because she would usually let me choose a small chocolate bar at the checkout counter.

5

Do you think people will still shop in supermarkets in the future?

I reckon so, yes. Even though online grocery deliveries are becoming ever more popular, many people still prefer picking out their own fruit and vegetables to check their quality. Plus, popping to the shops gets you out of the house, which a lot of people actually enjoy.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
