1

Do you often drink tea?

Yes, quite a lot, actually. I usually have a cup of black tea first thing in the morning to help me wake up, and sometimes another mug in the afternoon when I need a quick break from work at my flat.

2

What kind of tea do you prefer?

I'd say I lean towards green tea rather than anything too strong. If it's late in the evening, I prefer a herbal infusion like chamomile or peppermint because it doesn't keep me awake at night.

3

Did you drink much tea when you were a child?

Not really, to be honest. Growing up, I found it a bit too bitter, so I always preferred fruit juice or cold milk. It wasn't until I started secondary school that I actually acquired a taste for it.

4

Do people in your country usually serve tea to guests?

Definitely, it's pretty much a standard gesture of hospitality. Whenever someone pops round to visit, the kettle goes on almost immediately, usually paired with a few biscuits or a slice of cake.

5

Would you like to try making different types of tea in the future?

I think so, yes. I've always wanted to learn how to brew traditional loose-leaf teas properly, using a proper teapot and strainer rather than just dunking a standard teabag into a mug.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
