1

Have you ever tried doing yoga?

Yes, I have actually. I joined a beginner's class at a local leisure centre about a year ago. To be honest, I found it quite challenging at first, particularly holding the poses, but it was surprisingly relaxing by the end of the session.

2

Do you prefer doing yoga at home or in a class?

I'd definitely say in a studio with an instructor. When I practise at home following tutorials on a video-sharing site, I'm never quite sure if my posture is right. Having a teacher there to correct your form makes a massive difference.

3

Why do you think yoga has become so popular recently?

I suppose it's mainly because people are leading such stressful lives nowadays. Everyone is looking for ways to unwind, and yoga offers both physical exercise and mental calm. Plus, you don't need heaps of expensive equipment, just a simple mat.

4

Did you learn any yoga when you were at school?

Not at all. Our physical education lessons were strictly focused on traditional team sports like football and netball. I don't think mindfulness or stretching were really on the curriculum back then, which is a bit of a shame really.

5

Would you like to do more yoga in the future?

I really would, yeah. I'm hoping to carve out some time on Sunday mornings to make it a regular habit. I think building up my core strength and flexibility would do wonders for my posture, especially since I sit at a desk all day.

Details are invented. Use the shape, not the sentences: examiners mark memorised answers down.
