The table illustrates the global market share of various notebook computer manufacturers across three specific years: 2006, 2007, and 2014. Overall, HP maintained its position as the market leader throughout the period, while the combined share of smaller manufacturers saw a substantial contraction by 2014.

HP started with a 31.4% share in 2006, which grew steadily to 34% in 2007 and reached 34.25% by 2014. Dell also demonstrated consistent growth, rising from 16.6% in 2006 to 20.2% in 2007, and eventually capturing 26.12% of the market by 2014. Samsung, despite a slight dip from 11.6% to 10.7% between 2006 and 2007, recovered to reach 14.20% in 2014.

In contrast, the market share for 'Others' plummeted from 22.8% in 2006 to 19.3% in 2007, and dropped sharply to just 7.11% by 2014. Toshiba and Lenovo showed relatively stable performance, ending the period at 8.12% and 7.10% respectively. Fujitsu experienced the most volatility, halving its share from 4.8% in 2006 to 2.3% in 2007, before a minor recovery to 3.1% in 2014. By the end of the period, the top five named companies collectively dominated the vast majority of the market.
