What PTE score do you need for Åbo Akademi University?

Upload a copy of your score with your Score Report Code to the application system; the results are then verified from the test organiser. PTE Academic scores are valid for two years and must stay valid throughout the application period. The page does not mention PTE Core and gives an institution code only for TOEFL.

On the same page, IELTS Academic needs 6.5 overall with no band below 6.0, and TOEFL iBT needs 92 (tests before 21 January 2026) or 4.5 with no band below 4 (later tests). PTE sets a floor only in writing.

Other routes on the page include Cambridge C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency and a bachelor's or higher degree from an English-language programme in an EU/EEA country, Switzerland or another listed country. The page advises booking your test well before the application period because results take time to publish.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Åbo Akademi programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.

Pearson has discontinued PTE Academic Online for new bookings, so plan on a test-centre PTE Academic sitting even where this page still lists the online version. See can you take PTE at home.
