What PTE score do you need for Aalto University?

Aalto accepts PTE Academic, PTE Academic Online and PTE Academic UKVI. Results are valid for two years from the test date; for 2027 admissions the test must be taken on or after 7 December 2024. The best valid official score received by the deadline counts, and scores from different test dates cannot be combined. The page does not mention PTE Core.

Log in to your PTE account and send your results to Aalto University, then enter the 10-character Score Report Code in the Language proficiency section of the application and upload a PDF of the report. Official scores must arrive by 12 January 2027 at 15.00 (UTC+2). On the same page, IELTS Academic needs 6.5 overall with 6.0 in writing.

Pearson has discontinued PTE Academic Online for new bookings, so plan on a test-centre PTE Academic sitting even where this page still lists the online version. See can you take PTE at home.

The master's page says no methods other than those listed are accepted and that applications without the required proof will be rejected. It describes no conditional admission or pre-sessional route, so a lower PTE result means retaking the test before the deadline.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Aalto programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
