Validity, GRE and supervisor letter
Scores must be from within two years. The master's page recommends sending GRE scores as well, if you have them, and asks all master's applicants in principle for an acceptance letter from a Beihang supervisor. PTE is not named.

Dates and fees
For 2026, online applications opened on 1 November 2025 and closed on 30 June 2026 for both the master's and the bachelor's programmes, with study starting in September 2026. Master's applicants must be under 35. The master's page lists an application fee of CNY 400 and tuition of CNY 35,000 a year.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Beihang programme page and in your offer, so check it there before you book a test.
Minimum vs competitive score
Where Beihang University publishes an IELTS score, it is the minimum: the floor an application has to meet to be considered, not a score that guarantees an offer.
Competitive programmes, and courses with far more applicants than places, may expect more than the minimum, and some departments set their own overall or per-skill scores, often for writing or speaking. The course page has the final word, so check it before you book a test.
