What TOEFL score do you need for Bellarmine University?

The page writes the internet-based minimum as 79 or 80 without explaining the difference, so aim for 80 to be safe. It sets no section minimums.

TOEFL iBT score reports from January 2026 also carry a 1 to 6 band score; our guide to the new TOEFL score scale explains how the two scales appear on a report.

For comparison, the same page asks for IELTS 6.0 or higher.

The page lists language training at an approved centre as another route. A secondary diploma from a TOEFL-exempt country, or at least one year of full-time university study (24 earned credit hours), also meets the requirement. MELAB 78 and Duolingo 105 are accepted too.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Bellarmine programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
