What IELTS score do you need for Boston College?

The Morrissey College graduate school requires TOEFL 100 (5.0 on the new scale), IELTS 7.0 or Duolingo 130, from tests taken no more than two years before the program deadline. Only scores sent by the testing agency count, using code 3083 for TOEFL. No test is needed if you are a citizen of Australia, Canada (except Quebec), Great Britain, Ireland, New Zealand, Guyana, an Anglophone African country or an English-speaking Caribbean country, or if your degree is from one of those countries or from an institution whose official language of instruction is English, shown on an official transcript. The Carroll School of Management needs TOEFL 100 (5 on the new scale), IELTS 7.5, PTE 68 or Duolingo 130 for all its graduate programs, and does not accept TOEFL MyBest scores. You can waive the test yourself in the application if you completed a four-year bachelor's or two-year master's degree entirely at an English-medium institution, or if you have worked full time after your degree for at least two years in the US or a country where English is an official language. Non-US citizens must send TOEFL iBT (test centre or Home Edition), IELTS or Duolingo results. Boston College is test-optional for the SAT and ACT, but not for English tests. The requirement is waived if English is your native language, if you have studied for at least three years at a US high school or in another majority native-English country in a traditional curriculum without ESOL courses, or if you score 650 or above on SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing or 29 or above on ACT English. An optional InitialView interview can add evidence of your spoken English but does not replace the test.
