What TOEFL score do you need for CMCC?

Applicants whose first language is not English say so on the application and then prove their English. CMCC's TOEFL institutional code is 8866. The page gives no section minimums, validity period, Home Edition or MyBest policy.

This page gives TOEFL iBT minimums on the 0 to 120 scale only. TOEFL iBT score reports issued since January 2026 also carry a 1 to 6 band score; see how the new TOEFL score scale works.

For comparison, the same page sets IELTS at a minimum of 7.0.

The page describes no conditional or pathway route for English. The one alternative to a test is enough university-level coursework in English, as decided by the Registrar.

Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your CMCC programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
