Canisius PTE minimums
From Canisius's English language proficiency requirement page, which calls these recommended scores.
| Programme or band | PTE overall | Minimum per skill |
|---|---|---|
| PTE Academic | 65 | None stated |
| PTE Express, undergraduate | 60 | None stated |
| PTE Express, graduate | 65 | None stated |
Test rules and how PTE compares
All exams must have been taken in the last two years. Canisius is one of the few universities to list PTE Express separately; the page does not mention PTE Academic Online or PTE Core, or how to send scores.
On the same table, IELTS is 6.5 overall, TOEFL iBT 79 and Duolingo 105. Some graduate programs list fewer tests: the MS in Business Analytics admissions page names TOEFL, IELTS 6.5 and Duolingo 105 only.

If you fall short
Canisius says it does not offer English as a second language support, and letters confirming the medium of instruction are not accepted. Undergraduates may be exempt with two years at a US or Canadian secondary school, two terms of college English composition with a C or better, or citizenship of a listed country with education entirely in English.
Requirements vary by programme and change between admissions cycles. The score that binds you is the one on your Canisius programme page and in your offer letter, so check it there before you book a test.
